This prison ship was formerly a caravel in the Aurora Navy fleet from 305 AD to 389 AD where it was decommissioned and converted to become a prison hulk that could be used to hold convicts or civilian internees and transport them to a Penal colony or to Gaol. The Nordic Challenger was reduced to flinders though in 407 AD on a routine transport of several prisoners to Gaol where it's captain, Morkil Atlas , was killed and the boat drifted to eventually crash on the rocky coastline of Exsterno near Marblerose.
